Lomi Lomi comes from the traditional healing arts of Hawaii and was part of the natural teachings practiced by the Kahunas, the shamanic healers. Lomi Lomi is a deep healing massage that not only relieves tension and mobilizes joints but also brings the person into balance with nature and the divine.
The heart of Lomi Lomi massage is the healing touch. The goal of the massage is to convey «Aloha». Aloha stands for love, affection, and compassion. Therefore, the Lomi Lomi massage begins on a spiritual level with prayers and chants. These create space for the unfolding of self-healing powers. Lomi Lomi releases blockages on both a physical and emotional level and restores balance between body, mind, and soul. As in traditional Chinese medicine, this centuries-old bodywork is based on the understanding that diseases cannot arise if body, mind, and soul are in balance.
Two Types of Massage
In Lomi Lomi Therapy, the focus is on the physical body: muscles, joints, and tensions are specifically addressed to release physical blockages. Lomi Lomi Nui, on the other hand, focuses on the flow of energy and the subtle body, inviting the spiritual realm to support the healing process. Both types of massage are based on the philosophy of the Kahunas.
01 Lomi Lomi Therapy – Bodywork
This massage technique specifically supports the body in relieving muscle tension, joint pain, and deep-seated physical blockages. Tensions are released, and blockages are reduced. Pain points are addressed during the massage in a loving and empathetic manner, helping the body let go of tension and restore its inner balance. The body-focused massage lasts 60 or 90 minutes.
02 Lomi Lomi NUI - Energy Work
Lomi Lomi NUI is an energy massage that touches the soul and heals old wounds. At the beginning, prayers and chants invite spiritual helpers to open the space and gently support the healing process.
This massage is very personal and characterized by empathy and sensuality. Through gentle, flowing movements and the generous use of oil, a deep sense of relaxation transforms into well-being. Conscious touch helps the muscles to release in a gentle way. Blocked energies begin to flow again - and sometimes a few tears may also surface. The energy massage lasts 90 minutes.
